DISTURBED Singer Is Looking Forward To Playing STURGIS MOTORCYCLE RALLY

August 12, 2005

Launch Radio Networks reports: DISTURBED plays a headlining show today at the Black Hills Motor Classic, also known as the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, in Sturgis, South Dakota. Lead singer David Draiman told Launch that playing at the annual event is something he's wanted to do for a long time. "Well, it's something that me and Mikey (Wengren, drums) in particular were pushing really, really hard for," he said. "We're both avid motorcycle riders — Danny (Donegan, guitar) as well, but he doesn't get to go out on the bike as much as he'd like to, being the family man — but, yeah, I've never actually been to the Black Hills Motorcycle Rally, and it's gonna be my first time there, and what better way to do it than to be headlining it on the biggest day of the festival."

The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is one of the largest and oldest events in the world for motorcycle enthusiasts. This year marks its 65th anniversary.

Other acts that have appeared or will be appearing at this year's Rally include SHINEDOWN, JACKYL, QUEENSRŸCHE and Toby Keith. DISTURBED's new album, "Ten Thousand Fists", will be released on September 20.

The band's current six-and-a-half week tour takes them to Colorado Springs, Colorado on Sunday (August 14).
